SISTREN 10.19.19 In the artists’ own words, “We are musicians who got the idea to play together at a Nightfall concert when we began singing harmony with the amazing Ruthie Foster from the audience. All of us are songwriters and when we started working together, we were energized by our arrangements of our own songs as well as the covers we do. Laura Walker, our upright bass player is a longtime member of the Dismembered Tennesseans bluegrass band and has played all over the U.S. Lori Mast, on fiddle and keys, has a background in Irish music and also plays with her band The Red Rogues. Kathy Veazey on keys and guitar has been playing with her rock band, Lumbar Five, for many years. John Rawlston, Kathy’s husband, plays guitar with us and is also a member of Lumbar Five.”
