A traditional Irish tune session for intermediate players draws a fine cross-section of Austin-based and traveling musicians and begins when enough players gather, usually around 7:30 or so and runs till around 11:30 pm. Our weekly Irish Tune Session has been running on Sunday nights for many years, but it is not really a regularly scheduled “performance.” Rather it is an ad hoc gathering of local and visiting Irish musicians who get together to share tunes.
