Live Music w/ Josiah Atchley.
From Knoxville, Tennessee, solo recording artist Josiah Atchley, marine turned musician, has been enjoying continued success within the industry. With a warm, smoky voice, and songwriting that cuts thru the noise and connects directly to the listener, he becomes an immediate favorite.
Josiah took his band, Josiah & The Greater Good and made their presence heard on the entire east coast. With sets in Bonnaroo, Hillfest, Rhythm & Blooms, BlankFest, headlining Dogwood Arts Fest and Tattanooga Convention, they have also shared the stage and opened for several major touring acts, such as Tom Keifer (Cinderella), Fastball, and the multi-platinum, international touring band Kansas.
The band has released three major singles, including award winning “Real Mother Lover,” “Gypsy,” and “Broken Man.” They also received the award “Best Funk/Rock album/EP, released in Knoxville” in 2017. The Greater Good also re-released Josiah’s 2014 EP “Scoundrel” as a full ensemble, ensuring fans that they would always be able to listen to Greater Good’s fresh sound. All the above mentioned songs were written by Josiah Atchley.
Josiah has officially begun branching out into his solo career, premiering his first single as a solo artist “Where Is The Love” on WUTK 90.3 The Rock. He received an outstanding response, and the city is buzzing in excitement for his first solo EP. After considerable success with his band The Greater Good, and almost a decade of professional gig playing under his belt, it is quite safe to say he is primed for a fast and successful rise as a solo singer/songwriter.
