The Phryg is a four piece progressive funk band with deep pockets and tremendously original music whose talents have brought them all around the country, including playing Shakori Hills in October of 2018 alongside artists like Lettuce, Ryan Montbleau, Consider the Source and Hayley Jane & the Primates.
The Phryg has shared the stage with phenomenal performers such as Bob Lanzetti of Snarky Puppy, Organ Freeman, Joe Hertler & the Rainbow Seekers, The Fritz, Electric Love Machine and many more. They have performed at esteemed music venues including Brooklyn Bowl, The Knitting Factory, The 8x10, and Garcia's at the Capitol Theater.
Having drawn attention from publications such as Performer Magazine, The Jamwich, The Journal News and Pittsburgh Music Magazine, The Phryg released their self-titled full length album in July 2016 as a follow up to their debut EP "Midnight Snack”.
