Western New York native Scott Forbes knew from an early age that he was meant to write songs. He grew up in a small town and learned every aspect of music from grade school until graduation. At the age of 20 he moved to Central Florida where he continued to write and grow as an artist. He stepped away from music in 2005 to raise a family and work full time. Forbes returned to the stage in 2012 attending open mics and performing around Central Florida.
In September of 2014, he released his official debut EP “12”. The recording was a band release, with backing from a handful of musicians who helped complete his country rock and Americana sound. Across 5 songs, he explored ideas of personal struggle, love, the lure of the road and how to make the most of every day. He is a storyteller who paints words with truthfulness and plainspoken wisdom that come to him through hard times, heartache and happiness.
Early in 2016, Forbes moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee and began work on establishing himself in the local music scene. He is currently performing around the area and visiting Nashville a few times a year. Forbes recorded his latest 3 song EP ”Like a Hurricane” in early 2018 featuring local Chattanooga musicians. The EP was digitally released in June of 2018. Through stories and the twang of his acoustic guitar, Forbes reveals truthfulness with words and melody
